International Mineral Processing Symposium was first held in 1986 and since then it has biennially been organized by the 5 renowned universities in Turkey sequentially. This year, 17th International Mineral Processing Symposium will be jointly hosted by Mineral Processing Department at Istanbul Technical University and Turkish Mining Development Foundation in Tuyap Exhibition and Congress Center. Moreover, for the first time Mining Turkey 2022 Fair will accompany during the Symposium at the same venue simultaneously.

The symposium will bring together distinguished engineers and scientists specialized in the field as well as leading manufacturers and their representatives to discuss scientific and technical developments and innovations on different platforms.  Today, mining industries face constantly increasing production costs and difficult to process complex ores thus the symposium will provide a ground where the development of much more efficient processes, sustainable operations, effective usage of resources, technical and scientific requirements are discussed.

The sessions in the symposium will include research subjects related to ore characterization, analytical techniques, comminution and size classification, physical-physicochemical-chemical processes, waste disposal and management, recycling, secondary recovery, automation, modelling, simulation and other connected fields.
